Mabe Youth & Community Project (MYCP)

MYCP provides some of Mabe’s best recreational facilities. It owns and runs the Community Hall, the children’s play area and the skate park (all located in Cunningham Park, next door to the school). Together with the school, MYCP also owns and runs the playing field. MYCP is a registered charity.

Use of the playing field is shared with the school. During term-time the school has exclusive use of the playing field Monday-Friday between 9am and 4pm.

MYCP comprises various member organisations. Each member organisation is represented on MYCP’s committee. As well as those representatives, the committee also includes members of the general public (aged over 18 and resident in Mabe civil parish).

As well as being used by several of the member organisations, the community hall is available for private hire (including children’s birthday parties). The hall has a capacity of 120 and has a fully-equipped kitchen.
